#764 Cosmos

It's that time of year to play one of my favorite games, is it a weed or is it a plant. I've grown some very promising weeds, posing as plants and vice versa. This one in question turned out to be a keeper. Still life, acrylic, 6"x 6" click here to purchase.

SOLD
I wish every day was Hull Secret Garden Tour day. I did three paintings today, but I'll just post this one for now. It was so good to be outside, the weather lately has been for the birds (think ducks).

High Tide #751.25 and 751.75

It's an unusually high tide. We parked our cars at low tide and waded in barefoot (brrr) to retrieve them later on (oops!) - to the right, between the rocks is the road leading further out to more houses. This explains why the house nearby is on stilts . Below is painting #751.25, 6x6in, a dock leading into the marsh. Floating around in the marsh grass sounds nice. SOLD

Sold
This little 4x4in is my last painting of the day (#751.75). This house is tucked away behind some trees, I liked the roofline so much I thought I'd paint it.

Teeter #749

SOLD
I've been wanting to stack some items to paint, and then this week's DPW Challenge dared us to do just that! Two birds, one stone (don't worry pigeon Pat, it's just a figure of speech).

PPP (Peony and Pigeons Named Pat) #746

This peony painting is on it's way to Atlanta, and this pigeon, I hope finds it's way home - soon. It's been staring at me for a good half hour through the slider. . .

#744 Peony

I just scolded a turkey, it had no idea what I was talking about and my stern voice (?) made Brie, the chicken, I mean dog, jump into my arms, what a sight - me telling a turkey to not eat the strawberries, and a dog clinging for dear life. Click here to purchase, 6x6in, acrylic

Yardments and Sugarbowl

It's that time again. Roll up your windows and lock your car doors, the strawberries are coming in, but so far, I've had no problem keeping up with them and haven't had to abandon any on doorsteps or unusual places. . . click here to purchase, 6x6in, acrylic

#739 Wild Turkey (Turkey in the Yard)

SOLD
Take that Yardments I've got wildlife. Even heard an osprey today, apparently - I have no idea, over the weekend I heard this one bird sound and thought it was one of Brie's toys quacking (so did she, by the way) - turns out it was a real outdoor bird. Oh, since when do turkeys fly?

Other News: Saturday, noon to four - Meet the Artists at 60 South Street, Hingham Square - I'll be there, and we'll all be painting - come down for a chance to win a painting by me!

12x12 Early Morning. . . #738

Other News: Brie was visited this morning by an Irish Wolfhound. He (she?) was being followed by what was presumably his (her?) cat (wasn't ours). The two of them were perched outside the door (waiting?). I hadn't had enough coffee yet and at first only saw it's back and for a moment thought, we have wild boars?
More News Still: This Saturday come by and Meet the Artists in Hingham Square, noon to four.
