Did you happen to notice I painted tomatoes for one day and then stopped? Well, I had moseyed on over to Carol Marine's blog and ACK! She, too, seemingly took advantage of a special on tomatoes. . . anyhow, I just couldn't try to paint the same thing she was painting at the same time - too much pressure! So, I noticed she's moved on - and my tomatoes held up quite nicely in the fridge - so here goes. . .

  1. I love the colors and the dramatic effect of your composition! Love this painting! I gave you an award on my blog. Please watch the movie and claim your 'sunshine award'!

  2. So funny, Lisa. :) I would feel intimidated too, but you shouldn't. You have your own unique style and your interpretation of tomatoes can stand on their own. They're not like Carol Marine's, they're like Lisa Daria's. Good job, as usual!

  3. Lovely paintings, so loose and fresh, and a nice color sense too.

  6. Oh that's funny! I thought the two of you were purposely painting tomatoes at the same time. I think it's fun when a group of artists chooses to paint the same subject matter and see how everyone handles it. But it's only fun if you're doing it on purpose.

I love your tomatoes and I've been enjoying your pears, too.
